Some of my favourite bookish businesses - Part 2 - Candles & Jewellery
Over the years as a small business owner myself I have (of course) also supported other small businesses. From artists I've met at events to people I've met online and even people that found me first. I've always supported my fellow creators and makers in every way I can, sometimes this is buying something small, sometimes it's buying something big, sometimes this is just engaging on social media. I now have a huge collection of adorable bookish bits that are now some of my prized possessions.
I've decided to platform the artists I know and love in hopes that they receive even more support after what has probably been the worst year ever for small businesses. I also wanted to share some of my personal experiences with each business owner, hopefully in a way that shows you little snippets of the humans behind the businesses.
They are after all people, and behind the scenes each person works extremely hard to bring you some of the most beautiful things in this world.
As a trinket maker myself, I have a bit of an eagle eye for them and whenever I meet another trinket make I get exceedingly excited cause who doesn't love a good trinket?!
I've also included my personal favourite candle maker in here too as I class these personally as trinkets too!
Fae Candle Co
If you've attended any bookish event over the last few years, you've likely met Devon of Fae Candle Co. She's exceedingly good at finding these events and often accuses me of following her lmao. I met Devon 3 years ago at a market in Leeds on one of the hottest market days I've ever experienced! We trauma bonded right then and there, then I saw her again at another market in Liverpool, only to find out she actually lives in the tiny town that I also live in ![]()
The thing that's really special about Devon's candles, isn't the fact that they're based on bookish events and locations or the fact they smell incredible, it's all of the work she does behind the scenes.
She mixes her own scent blends using only the best quality ingredients and she can tell you exactly what is in every single candle, she's thoughtful and takes great care to make sure they're safe, burn perfectly and also throw their scents really well. The way she decides on the scent blends is incredible too, they all are based on bookish locations, you can bet your ass she's read all those books and spent the time thinking about the things you'd experience with all your senses in those scenarios. This is the way she comes up with the scents she creates. Each a deep and well thought out as the next.
In her store you can find: Candles, Wax Melts, Wax Burners, Blind date with a book & more

Everlee Jewellery
I won't lie, I actually can't remember how on earth I got to know Katrina of Everlee designs (prev. a part of Katrilee)! I THINK she was a customer turned friend through DM on Instagram! She was one of the very first people to buy my Trinket Books and to this day still owns the largest collection of them! I actually became such good friends with Katrina that she trusted me to design and create a dagger shaped handle for her wedding bouquet! Which to this day warms my heart, the fact she believed in me so much was just incredible!
Now - what exactly does Katrina do?! Katrina began as a clay jewellery maker that wanted to share the joy of making with the people around her and created clay craft kits which she continues to make to this day (even collaborating with Cats Protection TWICE) through her original business Katrilee.
She is also a reader and creates bookish themed jewellery out of clay and more recently Stainless Steel too! This began within Katrilee but as she expanded on this she wanted to be able to create a more niche business for this and created her second business - Everlee Jewellery. She has licenses with tons of authors and is all round a miracle worker (I literally have no idea HOW she does it all).
In her shop(s) you can find: Custom name necklaces, bookish earrings, charm bracelets, lockets, clay craft kits, resin craft kits & more

A Trove of Crafts
If you've ever visited the clock app and been a part of booktok you MUST have seen A Trove of Crafts! She designs the most beautiful, subtle bookish jewellery. All of her designs are exceedingly high quality and just the most stunning pieces.
I first spoke to Bhavika in late 2024 when we both ended up randomly chatting about Fourth Wing one day. If it weren't for her, I never would have made magnetic bookmarks, and these are now by far some of my most popular sellers! We did a gift swap in January of 2025 and I am obsessed with the pieces I received and to this day Bhavika still uses one of the trays she got in her photography! This girl is the kindest, most wonderful person I've ever had the privilege of knowing, she's always so sweet and supportive, I just love her.
If you've ever been looking for some high end, beautiful jewelled pieces, this is your gal! Everything you could want from Throne of Glass themed items, Quicksilver, Fourth wing and more. She has even recently started branching out into kindle inserts, stickers and even claw clips (seriously, the first one is STUNNING)
In her shop you can find: Earrings, Necklaces, Rings, Foiled Kindle Inserts, Stickers, Hair Accessories and more
